NBA Trade Rumors: Did Luka Doncic hint that he will ask for a TRADE soon?

Luka Doncic has been a source of frustration both on and off the court. Following the Dallas Mavericks' 117-109 loss to the Charlotte Hornets, Doncic gave a surprisingly candid answer when addressing the media. "It's really frustrating," Doncic began, "I think you can see it with me on the court. Sometimes I don't feel it's me. I'm just being out there, you know? I used to have really fun smiling on the court, but it's just been so frustrating for a lot of reasons, not just basketball."

When asked what is going on, Doncic said it was private. Doncic has been struggling to find joy on the court and admitted that he has been frustrated for a lot of reasons, not just basketball. He cited issues in his private life as well.

The Dallas Mavericks lost at home to the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, falling to 7-12 since trading for Kyrie Irving. The Mavericks are 3-7 when Irving and Doncic play together. "We got to fight hard, play harder," said Doncic. "That's about it. We got to show we care and it starts with me first. I've just got to lead this team, being better, playing harder. It's on me."

Despite the struggles on the court, there's been no indication of any friction between Doncic and Irving. In fact, the two stars seem to have a good relationship. The internet, however, has been quick to read into Doncic's statement. First, Barstool Sports made a joke about Irving being the cause, then Twitter was off to the races with speculation. However, after big losses, teams often have to deal with statements like these.

The Dallas Mavericks are currently 36-38, following a year where they made it to the Western Conference Finals. The team has been struggling this year, but Doncic remains focused on leading the team and being a better player. It remains to be seen how the rest of the season will play out for the Mavericks and Doncic, but one thing is for sure: Doncic's frustration is not just limited to basketball.
