Reports have surfaced that the Blazers have engaged in discussions with the Washington Wizards regarding a potential trade involving Kristaps Porzingis and the No. 3 pick.
"According to a source, the Trail Blazers have had trade talks with the Wizards involving the No. 3 pick and Kristaps Porzingis. More pieces would be involved, but it's something to keep an eye on," NBA insider Evan Massey revealed.
While Porzingis has shown promise and had a solid season with the Wizards, it is worth noting that he is not considered an NBA superstar with limitless potential. Hence, it is surprising that the Blazers would even contemplate giving up a prospect like Scoot Henderson in exchange for Porzingis and his lucrative contract.
